Storage Water Heaters: Gas or Electric?

Are you in the market for a storage water heater. And have you ever wondered: "Storage Water Heaters: Gas or Electric?" Well here's some free advice on Storage Water Heaters from leading home improvement and Buying Guides expert Don Vandervort.
Natural gas fuels more than half of all water heaters; electricity heats most of the remainder. A small percentage of water heaters burn propane (LP), oil, or kerosene.
Gas is both cheaper and much faster at heating a tankful of water. So are propane, kerosene, and oil, but they're less convenient. So his advice: go with the gas heater, especially if it is reasonably priced in your area.
